Clarity and impact

Clarity & impact

All-day Course, Thursday 21 Oct 2010: £360 + VAT

Fenchurch Street, London, 9.30-16.30

Imagine doing documents that have clarity and impact, that people praise and envy. That win new business or impress the Board. Imagine the impact on the rest of your working life.

Imagine no more. Transform your work, from notes and reports to KPI packs and slides, by sorting out the Five Bits that appear in most documents: bullets, tables, graphs, words and design. Here’s what you'll learn:

1.  WiT*: my alternative to bullets that has 3 times the impact
2.  Tables: my “Five Fixes” to do tables people love, not loathe
3.  Graphs: why most graphs don’t work; what to do instead
4.  Words: quick tips to make your writing a joy to read
5.  Design: principles for smart work; which fonts to use when

* See “WiT” transform a Cabinet paper, and read “WiT” testimonials

We also review delegates’ work - often it’s the day’s highlight.

OK, the topics don’t sound much really (bullets…, tables…, graphs…) but read delegates’ testimonials. Read Course Organisers’ testimonials too. The day is inspiring, eye-opening, hugely enjoyable, immensely useful and more.

You'll never look at a slide, report or board pack in the same way again - and your work will be better than you ever imagined. So book now and make the rest of your working life so much more rewarding.

Who should attend

Attend if you do slides, reports and notes. If that sounds a broad church, it is - I’ve delivered in-house training Courses to all functions and all levels: actuarial, admin support, business school faculty, conferences (corporate and industry), consumer insight, executive, finance, graduate trainees, industry conferences, IT, MBA students, marketing and design, project management, sales.

Then there's those who’ve attended my public Courses: business development personnel, business interruption managers, call centre bosses, compliance officers, consultants... the list is in alphabetical order and we've reached just "c" - so you get the picture.

Here's a long list of clients where I've done in-house Courses.
